New Orleans Tours
Jan Luley travels regularly to New Orleans since 1995. For the last couple of years he organizes an annual group tour to New Orleans together with his collegue, pianist Hans-Peter Schueller. Main subject of this trip is the French Quarter festival in April which showcases more than 150 concerts within the four festival days on about 17 stages in the French Quarter. Other aspects of the tour are New Orleans cooking and restaurants, famous jazz clubs, a boat tour through the swamps, a jazz cruise on the Mississippi and other interesting things you can do, see and experience in the Crescent City. Of course the difficulties of New Orleans music scene after Hurricane Katrina will be an important subject, too.
